Don't Call Me Oud opens spicy and slightly tart. Saffron is prominent early on, while apple, bergamot, and rhubarb lend a fruity-sour freshness to the top notes. Soon, the composition darkens: oud meets rose, jasmine, and violet in the heart, making the woods appear softer and more floral without losing their distinctive character. The initial freshness recedes, giving way to a warm, smooth depth.
In the drydown, oud and noble woods combine with caramel, tonka bean, and vanilla absolute. This creates a controlled sweetness with a gourmand touch that rounds off the dark woody character rather than masking it. Don't Call Me Oud projects as confident, mysterious, and mature.
